漆は決して安い商品ではないです。 物によっては何十回工程も経て製作された器なので、どうしても高価格の商品になります。 日常的に使っていき、漆の塗りが剥げて来たりすることもあります。その場合は、塗り直しも可能で、何世代にもわたって再利用も可能なので、長持ちし、結果的には高価格とは言えないと感じさせてくれます。
