今年の中秋の明月は10月1日です。ススキとお団子を作って飾りました。
中秋の名月は中国から伝わってきたものです。中秋（ちゅうしゅう）の名月とは、旧暦8月15日の十五夜にお月見をするならわしでした。昔の日本では月の満ち欠けと太陽の動きを基に作られた太陰太陽暦という暦を作り、農業や暮らしに役立てていました（旧暦）。
旧暦では7,8,9月を秋として、その真ん中の日の8月15日を「中秋」と呼び、またその晩に上がる月のことを「中秋の月」と言っていたそうです。
中秋の名月の別称の十五夜（お月さま）もこの旧暦の頃の名残から言われています。
秋は空も高くなり秋晴れが続き、綺麗な空気と共にお月様も綺麗に見える時ですね。
