Wiping lacquer: A finishing method that wipes the wood with lacquer. It is a technique that has been passed down from ancient times and is almost always used in historic buildings (eg Nikko Toshogu). The biggest feature is that the natural grain of wood stands out even more, making the wood last longer. It also continues to grow in beauty and durability over time.

Qinghai tray: A term for tea utensils, a round tray made of Hibiki copper, Karakin, etc. It is said that the name comes from the fact that the hammered hammer resembles a scale-like Qinghai ripple in which semicircles are concentrically stacked.
