Great for serving relatively large dishes such as salads, sushi, fried foods, and roasted foods. It seems to be useful when inviting people with a slightly deeper octagonal style.

Negoro lacquer: A type of Japanese painting technique, it is a lacquer ware that applies red lacquer to the undercoat with black lacquer. The name comes from Negoroji Temple in Wakayama Prefecture. The red lacquer on the surface is worn out, and the black lacquer applied to the base is exposed in places, often looking like a pattern.
